Enjoying Nature with Hubby

Isn't it fantastic when you and your spouse enjoy the same things! This photo shows Jeff on our nature walk and his playful smile reminds me how special my marriage is to me. Our nature walks have brought us closer together than ever as we experience God's marvelous Creation.

It's easy to plunk down on the couch and switch on the TV by remote control...at times we can't find the remote and don't know how to turn the TV on. LOL It's easy to find activities where you aren't interacting with your spouse at all but rather absorbed in what's happening on the TV or computer monitor. It's easy to start blocking each other out.

Jeff's having fun in this photo- pulling the evergreen branch in front of his face - tells me he needs these nature walks, and I know my heart needs to see him happy like this. It's great we both love nature so much and can share our delight in it. And best of all, nature is free from electric so you aren't paying for anything while you're having a great time. :D

Enjoy the outdoors!!!

Great post. You both seem to be so happy. Nature is wonderful. As you know I used to live in the desert. One of my favorite activities was walking miles and miles through the wilderness doing nothing but admiring nature. So I understand where you are coming from.

Keep it up.

Your marriage is so inspiring--I love that the two of you find time to be together outdoors on a regular basis. It makes me YEARN to move out of the city!

Jen, I have a funny feeling you'll move out of the city one of these days. Nature is part of who you are. :D

For 10 years in Canada I didn't watch TV (hiking some of the beautiful areas around Niagara, instead.) It's amazing how your brain starts really WORKING again after a while. I think everyone should try to give it up--even for just a month!
Continued happiness with your hubby. Charles & I seem much the same. :)

What a beautiful thing to do, Lana. :D Your hiking around the Niagara area must have been spectacular. :D

WOOT! that you and Charles have such a great relationship. :D

Glad you and Jeff are enjoying the great weather!

It's beautiful here today, and since I'm officially on summer break as of two days ago, I'm heaving a huge sigh of relief and enjoying it all with no studying hanging over me.

Have a great day!

I couldn't agree with you more, JJ! And I'm happy for your happiness.

I know that being out in nature means more to me than any other activity, and is the basis for all my creative impulses!

I also think that how we relate to nature has a lot to do with how we feel about ourselves and how we relate to other people! :)

Hi! If Jeff is happy so am I. If you're happy so I'm I. Seeing that you're both happy, I'm doubly happy.

See! things do come in threes and that makes me triply happy.

Now, if my wife had a picture of me like that, it would mean I've been naughty and I've been caught.

Take Care,
Peter

Lee, WOOT!!! Summer break from college. WOOT!!! It must feel great being able to have a day you have scheduled. :D I am so PROUD of you for going back to school, a hard thing to do. You'll have time for outdoors also. :D WOOT!!!

Lynda, you are so right. We see the gifts in nature and want to share what has delighted us with others. It's a great experience for the hungry soul. :D Thank you.

Peter, LOL on the *caught* photo. Jeff and I are lucky to live in the area we do. :D What would I do without friends like you. I love your humor.

God bless you both

Thank you, Angel. When a couple are first married, it's hard to give up some of the individuality that needs to go so *two can become one*. After 20 years it sinks in. :D

Astrogalaxy, we're kindred spirits. :D It's sooo easy to become caught up in technology that we miss out on the peacefulness around us.
