Sass on a Roll LOL

Would someone distract my Mommy so she won't follow me around with a wet paper towel after I roll around in the dried grass!

It's that time of year when our cats discover they can clean their coats in the dried grasses that cover the ground. I can see cat trails after they enter the house. I caught Sassy in the act and had a forewarning. LOL She was having a time of it, moved to several different spots, mewed and rolled and rolled.

Sassy is a lovable cat. She leaps onto the bed at night to lie on my chest while she mews the hour away, looking into my eyes with endearment every time I open them to take a peek at her. I let her stay on my chest and pet her until my lungs need air. She's one heavy cat. On the flip side, she's the most jealous of my pets for my attention. I wish she would keep her loving manner all of the time.

On another topic, I have some great news. My mainstream rough draft manuscript is almost completed. YAY! I love this ms because I have written what I know about and that made the writing of it a total delight. It's a story about living in the woods. :D

Have a super day!

Note: I know parts of the internet were down yesterday. I hope it's up and running today.

Hugs, JJ

Such a cute picture! Our cats are indoor kitties, so no rolling in the grass for them... which is kind of sad!

Jen, with indoor kitties you know they are always safe. I worry my heart out during the warm weather months.

Thank you. :D

Reminds me, I need to make our Snipper an appointment for his summer hair cut. Poor fella is so fuzzy he fills up with burrs if we don't get him groomed!

Woo Hoo, on being close to the finish line, JJ! I know it will be an awesome--and particularly well researched--story. =)

Lainey, thank you. A story researched down to the underside of a leaf where one can find all sorts of things hiding out. LOL

Do you have photos of Snipper on your blog? I must come and look. :D

Sandpiper, you have a Sassy too!!! How cool. :D We're so lucky to have pets. They open a person up to a whole new level.

Thank you for the congrats. :D I'm trying to figure out how to celebrate.

Thanks Swahilya. I'm glad you like the picture on top. I'm waiting for some spring color and that will do for the in between time. :D

I have a cat that rolls in the dirt a lot. You see my backyard is covered with tree bark, and the cat, Trixie, loves to roll over and over in it. I didn't know that all this time she was merely cleaning her hair.

So, you've nearly completed a manuscript. I didn't know about this either. Is this for publication, self publication, or just fun?

Have a great day.

Swubird, cats do think they're showered when they are all full of dust and bits of stuff. LOL It is amazing how they can lick themselves clean after that. I would think it would be an all day job. Your backyard sounds like cat heaven.

The fiction ms is for submission. It would be great if I finally found my way past carpal tunnel. It's impossible finding a job when you have very limited hand motion and tire easily from constant pain. WOOT for voice-ware and being able to write at one's own pace. I've been working on this ms for over a year. The editing process has to happen yet too, but I do plan on submitting this soon. :D

Wish me luck. To move forward would be a huge victory for me. :D

Awesome about your manuscript JJ!!!
Love cats have a big one too, great friends. Love the pic too JJ.

Bob, thank you. What would we do without our kitties. I have four HUGE ones. I never knew they grew so big. They are twice the size of other cats.

I am excited about finishing the ms. :D

LOL JD...we call this cat *our gray*. Every once in a while she disappears while in the house and we tease she's off communicating with her spaceship. :D

Thank you!!! Please post a pic of your Himalayan. :D

Sometimes I miss having pets. Then I look at all of my hair-free clothes & all of the birds in my backyard & life is good again.
Congratulations on completing your manuscript! Do you have a publisher lined up yet? I wish you much success with it. :)
BTW, I've added you to my blogroll, if that's okay with you.

Nature Nut /JJ Loch said...

Chris chisu, thank you. :D I'm glad you enjoyed the photo and post. :D

Chris, cats do roll and roll as much as they want to. It's funny. I was trying to get Sassy to look at me for the photo but she was in too much ecstasy. LOL

Astrogalaxy, I love Sassy's gray hair color too. It's luxuriant.

Lana, I'll add you to my blogroll tomorrow. Thank you.

It's quite the challenge dressing up around here. I have to wash everything the night before and hope we make it out of the house without picking any cat or dog hair up. That is one plus for not having pets. :D

No publisher lined up yet but my cp said this is my best work so far. :D
