Can you guess which planet this shot is from?
Bob, from Blackholes and Astrostuff, has me dreaming of the Universe around us with his fantastic astronomy blog. Imagine my surprise when I found similar terrain of another planet on Earth. :D

This beach shot was taken last weekend as the ice retreated from the Lake Huron shoreline. It reminded me of the Handiwork that had gone into making the Universe. And this reaffirms my belief in the Creation.
I respect everyone's belief in how our world was formed, but the more I am out in nature, photographing her, musing over the patterns I see, the stronger my belief in the Creation becomes. I sense God's presence around me like a warm shall and always walk away with an uplifted spirit that makes me realize I am here on Earth for a reason. Everything is connected. We are all connected. God loves us. And this gives us the ability to love others.
Smiles are the light the world needs to begin the healing process. They are God's gift to us. How dreary the world would be without that sunshine.
I love the thought that everything has a connection. It fills me with a sense of peace.
Hugs, JJ

Absolutely wonderful post! I once drove on a gravel road that led to an area that had been wiped clean of trees, out in the middle of nowhere. The sand was red and in drifts, and I felt I was standing on Mars! I enjoyed reading your outlook on life and connections. Very peaceful and lovely.
Thank you, Sandpiper. You had one of those "knowing" moments too. :D
WOOT!!! We're kindred spirits. I knew that from the first time I viewed your blog.
Please click on Sandpiper's link and you'll find yourself on beautiful nature walks. :D

I agree with you--the more I see of this world, the more I'm convinced that it's not an evolutionary accident!
By the way, I donated the cards to the USO for the troops. That was such a lovely gesture on your part!
Thank you, Jen. :D I had heard how much the troops need supplies and am happy you donated the cards to them. :D
And it is an eye opening experience when you become interested in nature and notice the patterns and warmth that make you feel that peace we are all searching for.
Hugs, JJ
Yes, there are definitely things I see in nature that I am convinced speak of "intelligent design." I believe, of course, in evolution, and in accident, but there is some breathtaking beauty that pulls me into a connection with something greater in the Universe.

Yes JJ! all connected to that ONE source. manifestation in various forms is only to realise the unmanifested formless. Indeed, nature breaks or rather connects to that One in its own silence.
Erica, isn't that pull to an intelligent design sublime!
Merging Point, I love that we are all from one SOURCE. That gives me hope for our world's future.

It would easily pass off as the surface of the moon or mars! The interesting geography of the earth, is just a revelation of how interesting the creator must be!
JJ:
Uncanny scene. We don't have to be astronauts to see the wonders of the universe - they're right here in front of us. All we have to do is look.
Great post, and great photography as usual.
Smiles to you.
Swahilya, God shows us so much it's hard to take it all in. :D
Swubird, for a moment I thought I had landed on Mars. It was an awesome sensation that ran through me. :D

Awesome post and image JJ, you are right JJ we are all connected in some way, all made from stardust with Gods help, the landscape looks like some desolate Martian terrain, way to go JJ, and keep on smiling, :)
Excellent shot JJ. Something right up my alley. And I totally agree with you about seeing God's handiwork out in nature. A wonderful post.
BTW I can't deny the fact spring is finally here. All my trees are budding, and I had a Downy Woodpecker at my Suet feeder yesterday. Heck I spent an hour outside in my socks listening to the birds LOL.
Take care JJ and thanks for the congrats.

Bob, I thought you would enjoy this post!
>>>all made from stardust with Gods help
What beautiful imagery.
Thank you!!!
Supplicant, it's hard posting about winter for five months every few days. It made the season longer. LOL
I'm happy you found spring!!! It may become cold a day or two, but she's here. WOOT!
Thank you!!!
Hugs, JJ
Wow, this does look like it's from another planet. I agree with you about the origins of the world too - I'm a scientific, exact person but I don't believe in unrestricted "chance". I would accept cold hard facts maybe, but until I see proof to the contrary, I'd go for the reasonably proved assumption that there is an ultimate reason for all this.
Cheers,

David, thank you and beautifully said. :D

That photo looks like the boiling mud pools in Rotorua, New Zealand. Indeed, a smile is contagious and changes your outlook in a moment.
Suzanne, oooh, can you post a pic of the boiling mud pools in Rotorua, NZ?
Hugs, JJ
That is just beautiful! And I love your words that speak of the connection we all share...

Amazing post, JJ :) I also love the idea of everything being connected in life... it makes things easier to comprehend :)
Evita, thank you. We are all sharing now too. :D
Maverick, I figured you were in exams. I'll pop on over to see how you're doing. Thank you.
Lena, thanks! Having a connection to everything in the Universe does make life understandable and also makes us realize how much God loves us to place us here at this time. :D
Hugs, JJ
Nature, in itself, is beauty manifested. Why seek beauty elsewhere when it is all around us and within us? A poignant post indeed and yes we're all connected, regardless what our beliefs are. Peace.
JJ wow, just simple Earth like that, and you showed the inner beauty. Thanks for sharing. Anna :)
Joe Black,
>>>"Nature, in itself, is beauty manifested. Why seek beauty elsewhere when it is all around us and within us? "
How beautiful!!! Thank you. :D I'm happy you posted.
Anna, we are lucky, aren't we! We love nature and can blog about it for years to come. :D Thank you!!!
Hugs, JJ
That's such a great shot. It does look like another planet. :-)
I agree with you on the "All Things Are One" concept. There's nowhere to experience it quite like out in nature somewhere, anywhere...
