Apple Blossom Morning

A golden landscape greeted me after the sunrise yesterday morning when I ventured outdoors for some photos of the blooming apple blossoms, the trees still somewhat in shadow. I loved the richness of the pink buds and the dewy white, unfolding petals. While my nose was in the fragrant apple blossoms, a hummingbird's wings vibrated close by and bees buzzed around me, gathering yellow pollen, telling me life goes on as usual even though the world has its difficulties.

I have more photos of this tree I would love to show you, but I have to hold them back for submissions. On a funny note, I spent so much time thinking about photos yesterday that I forgot to curl my hair. When I asked Jeff if it bothered him, he said, "Bother me? I see you when you wake up." LOL Don't you love an honest husband. Still, with all the beauty around me outside right now, I don't see how I could compare. :D

Hugs, JJ

I love apple blossoms. Unfortunately I haven't been around apple trees since my upbringing. In retrospect, EVERYTHING on that property flowered. It was awesome.

Lol, hey JJ great shot, let that be a lesson to us all, stop and smell the roses, in this case, Apple Blossoms.

Thanks, Bob. Apple blossoms are amazingly beautiful. :D

Lana, I bet you miss that property. It sounds like ours. I was just telling Jeff how lucky we are to live where we do. I hope you have apple blossoms again one day. :D

I can almost smell those blossoms. Yes, men know when to say the wrong thing but each time they say the right thing, it wipes the slate clean.

Wonderful post JJ. It's funny. I just purchased a "Thunderchild" Flowering Crab Apple...planted him in my gardens came in and decided to read your posts. You are so right. My grounds, my gardens, my trees all bring me pleasure and help ground me.
I posted about such at the MW Society page just recently. Come around when you have time.

BTW beautiful shot :-)

JD, I was just thinking about you this morn and will stop by to read your post today. I'll find a special one. :D

Thanks, I'm thrilled you enjoyed the post. Our environment does ground us and that's why it's important to have one. You and I know that the trees and plants communicate with us at a spiritual, soothing level. A gift from God.

Beautiful picture! Those blossoms must be so fragrant. Cute comments from your husband. :)

There's nothing more lovely than a blossoming tree - all the apples, pears, plums and cherries are finished blooming over here so it's lovely to see this picture. I think I'm going to enjoy reading back over your older posts. Thanks for visiting my site too, and the kind comment! :)

Sandpiper, Granny Smith is blossoming now. :D Thank you. This is a special time of year. I have four more apple trees that have to blossom yet.

Bird, our pear, cherry and plum trees have dropped their blossoms. I'm glad they come in different weeks so I can enjoy them longer. Am waiting for the rest to bloom so I can start watching closely for fruit swells. :D

I also will visit your blog more. You have a beautiful one.

Hi! Lovely photo! As for curly hair which I've had since birth, I can't wait to go bald (I tell a lie) so I can go out to buy straight hair.

Take Care,
Peter

Sameera, thank you. :D I'm happy you enjoyed my apple blossom photo and blog. :D

Swubird, Michigan ROCKS and I love living in this rich environment. :D Thank you. :D

Peter, thank you. :D It is true that curly-haired people often want straight hair and vice versa. Must be the other-side-of-the-mountain thing going on. If I didn't have a stubborn cowlick, straight would work. LOL

I love these blossoms! They just don't last long enough. I have a crabapple tree near my parking spot, it was so beautiful a few weeks ago.

Nature Nut /JJ Loch said...

Drowsey, I know what you mean about the short blossoming time. The petals are great for two days and then start fading into obscurity.

Wild wave!!!

And thank you, Drowsey. :D

Winter is beautiful but has less colours :)

Nature Nut /JJ Loch said...

Lena, I adore spring for the vibrant colors. Winter has it's beauty but I'm tempted to have red balls hanging from the trees. :D

Good morning, sweetie. :D
