Canyon Falls - and up pops Jeff :D

As I was snapping photos of Canyon Falls, which is on the Sturgeon River in the Upper Peninsula, Jeff suddenly popped up from the rocky cliff below me. Of course I asked him to freeze. This has turned out to be one of my favorite photos of him at the falls. You will never believe where I found him next!

We have had such playful adventures together and have forgotten sometimes how old we are. It's great when the child comes out and we throw our cares to the wind. What arthritis? That's one big reason we love nature. Jeff and I have young and adventuresome hearts. May we never grow old in our visions of life. We're in the middle of life but achy bones already found us. LOL Jeff's feet and ankles bother him where I have problems with my knees and hands.

I have more Canyon Falls photos to show you. My life has been crazy the last few months but it's all coming together. :D

Tell me where your favorite nature spot is that you enjoy with your family. :D

Hugs, JJ

what a nice photo to have of your husband and now a captured memory of all your beloved nature adventures! I agree - Greg & I feel getting out in the outdoors keeps as young (never mind my creaky knees!) I'm trying to think of my favorite nature spot - maybe Seney National Wildlife Refuge in the U.P. The 2nd would be my log cabin.

Shellmo, the Seney National Wildlife Refuge ROCKS and I have seen photos of your beautiful cabin. You are very blessed to live such a nature-oriented life. :D And sharing it with your spouse makes it SUPREME!!!

Thank you. :D

Lol great shot JJ, oh where did you find him next?,lol, for my fav spot I like it anywhere outside at night. I wish I had your spot though, away from the city lights instead of having to travel so far.

You're just like two little children playing together. How lovely that is. My husband and I don't play nearly enough. We're too tied up in work and survival.

Bob, you won't BELIEVE where I found Jeff next. Can't wait to post the pic. :D I wish I could loan you my backyard for your great night shots. :D

Thank you.

Suzanne, Jeff and I live on less but the playtime is worth it. :D We are two kids at heart.

Thanks. :D

A spot in the nature that I enjoy with my family....hmm, tough one, I get to see my parents twice a month and we don't really spend that time in the nature...But I suppose the forest behind the city near to where we live will always bring up the memories of taking long walks in there with my dad when I was a kid/teen. We always had looong conversations, or maybe rather monologues, because my dad likes listening to himself LOL We don't do that as much now because I'm rarely home, but we always go for a walk after lunch whenever we go to my grandma and grandpa's in the countryside :)

Hi! Jeff seems to be your own jack in the box! But far more animated and a lot more fun!

Tell me where your favorite nature spot is that you enjoy with your family? Well, we live on acres, so our nature spot is up in the backyard amongst the gum trees, sitting around a huge fire, be it a BBQ, some call it a burn off, cooking up a few snags and steaks; with kookaburras laughing in the background.

Take Care,
Peter

Kia ora JJ,
I too have a problem with arthritis in my hip, but I refuse to let it stop me roaming the mountains.
My wife's uncle has a farm abot 30 minutes from here, running out of the ranges on a river with high cliffs and native bush. So we have our private little "beach" where walk to a lovely spot with rapids for our kayak, and deep swimming holes to laze away the day, also great for eeling and trout fishing. We take our tents and light a bonfire and listen to river roll by.
Cheers JJ, I am so happy you and Jeff love nature and share it with us.
Aroha,
Robb

LZ... I bet you will tour Canyon Falls one day. :D There are many waterfalls in the Upper Peninsula to see. Jeff and I were amazed at how many. Canyon Falls is considered the Grand Canyon of Michigan. It's not the huge scale of Grand Canyon but packed with beauty and adventure. :D

Robb, your favorite spot is divine!!! Sounds like a great setting for a book. :D

I'm glad you are enjoyed Jeff and my adventures. :D

Martha, I've heard of Monterey Bay and must Google it. :D

I've slipped in the agile department but Jeff knows how to pull my arm when needed. :D
