A Time of Serenity

This winter I am posting other nature photos with the current seasonal ones to give everyone a break from seeing snow for five months. LOL

In this Lake Huron sunset photo I focused on the beach grass for the shot, and enjoyed the graceful curve of the golden seed with the same shape of the swan's white necks in the background.

There I was -inhaling the fresh water scent and listening to the waves lapping on the sandy shoreline while enjoying that serene and perfect moment. And here I am - stomping snow off my boots every time I come indoors from feeding the poor birdies who winter here. How the seasons change! At least it's fluffy snow. :D

On a personal note, the breast lumps were only scar tissue from the last surgery. WOOT!!! Let the holidays swing on. That's one big worry off my shoulders. :D I had no idea how much that was keeping me from enjoying the holidays until the burden was lifted. But I still am worried about the birds when the weather dips into the minus zone. Wish I could have them all in the house. :D

Today snow diamonds are gleaming from the snow and the sun has broken from the clouds. The temps are trying to edge their way to above freezing - the wind has died down. You should see all the beautiful shades of blue sky. I am ready to celebrate.

Have a great holiday season with your loved ones!!!

Hugs, JJ

Kia ora JJ,
Beautiful photo. You have a very good philsophy to keep you warm while it is still winter - though from my perspective I would love to have a white Christmas. I will have to it here!
Tara and I just returned from our south island trip and had an amazing experience. Stay tuned!
Happy Yuletide my friend!

Robb

What a relief about the lumps. That sort of thing definitely puts life on hold.
I love your new head photo - intriguing.

Suzanne, thank you. I'm glad you are enjoying goldfinch photo.

That lump scare with my family history had me biting my nails.

WOOT that I'm okay.

Woo hoo excellent news JJ I am so happy for you, and at Christmas time!!!!

Love your new header, awesome close-up, is that some type of finch?, beautiful image, good catch with the same curve as the Swans.

It has been crazy cold here and they are calling for a cold winter so thanks for a little warmer climate pics.

I'm glad the lump proved nothing more than scar tissue! Have a happy holiday my dear friend! I envy you the snow - I know that too much of it can be inconvenient but you seem to have the right attitude all right. May god bless you and happy New Year.

Bob, we have a wild storm again today. I have seen such persistent weather. Yesterday we had a break, though. :D

I'm glad you enjoyed bird and lakeshore photos. :D That is a goldfinch and they are huddled on the feeder now while the arctic wind whips the trees silly.

I pray you have a break from the frigid weather for a day or two. You know what I mean about having a photo change from winter with the posts. :D Stay warm.

Thank you for your health support. :D

Happy Holidays!!!

Kat, thank you. I was more worried than I realized and my spirits are brighter today. It's funny how something like that can drag you down and you aren't aware of it.

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Wish I could send you some snow!

Hugs, JJ

A time of serenity is absolutely right. I didn't know you had any health concerns, so I am especially glad that your great burden has been lifted and now you can get back to the wonders of nature. I know you love all the beautiful things that fly through the air and live upon the earth. It all shows in your photography and your words.

Take care.

Merry Christmas, and remember...

Happy trails.

Aw, thank you, Swu. I'm lucky to have such a good blogger friend. :D

There is a strong history of breast cancer in my family and I sure lucked out. Was biting my nails when the report came back that I needed further testing.

I love living and enjoying God's beautiful Creation. :D

Happy Holidays to you and yours!!!

Thank you, dear Anna. I'm glad you enjoyed the serenity beach photo. :D

Next my life changes. I guess it already has. :D I pray more people will have their dreams come true. Mine snuck in when I had thought I was past anything happening because of my carpal tunnel.

God watches over us. :D
