Snow Lady has been as busy as an airstrip with all the birds competing for the sunflower seed sprinkled in her aromatic balsam fir hair. LOL Jeff and I have been royally entertained and are happy we added Snow Lady to the bird feeder collection outside.
Boy, are we going through the seed!!! If it weren't for the goldfinches, chickadees, nuthatches, red polls, pine grosbeaks and woodpeckers, it would be quiet outside and ...boring looking at the same white landscape day after day. I couldn't imagine a winter without feeding the lively and cheerful birds!
These shots were taken from inside the house and at times when the sun was too bright but I like experimenting too. :D

Those birds have a map to your yard posted on message boards all over Michigan!
LOL Footsteps. You're right. :D
Good morning, dear.

JJ:
It's wonderful to have a ringside seat to nature. My Queen watches the birds that land on or neighbor's roof every day. She knows them by name, as well as personal names. It's hard for me to imagine a beautiful little bird as a snarling, flesh-eating dinosaur. Just think, a hundred and fifty million years ago you would be the one who's being watched. Yikes!
Happy trails.
Birds help make winters bearable. :)
This feeder is great! I love the snow lady! And apparently the birds do too! :-)
Beautiful shots - snow would be nice here at the moment with a 43C degree day forecast for tomorrow.
I hear you on the seed. We can't keep up. And lately, I've had two crows adopt the feeder..which is unusual. Probably because the snow is too deep for them ... I don't know. We are however, the favorite restaurant for the local chickadee population LOL
Have a great weekend JJ.

JD, I have never had crows at the feeder. WOW!!! That would be a sight to see.
What would we do without our fluffy chickadee friends!!!

Wowser!!, great shot of the birds in flight JJ.
JJ these look like xmas cards, excellent shots of birds in motion. I take many of those in the summer, and at times I have to ask Domenic to scare the birds so I can get the action shot, lol, poor blue heron - of course we are very gentle with our actions, lol. Excellent pics, and look at those spread out wings, wow. Anna :)
