Love a Cloudy Sky!

Don't you love a rolling cloudy sky! On this day a cold rain soon followed, but I snapped photos until the darker clouds chased the beautiful ones away. I'm in awe of the different formations clouds can make in such a short time and of the way the sun gelds her way across the atmosphere.

I'm a cloud watcher. :D

Today thousands of ice floes are drifting across Lake Huron so Jeff and I will visit the beach tomorrow. The several feet of snow we had to tramp through in January has melted so we will have an easier time walking the beach. Jeff is hunting for feathers so he can do some fly tying, and I am going to try to snap some bird photos with my telephoto lens. :D

Hugs, JJ

JJ great shot, you know I love clouds, they make the sky, they're fun to watch.

I'm waiting for some of your telephoto shots of birds, that lens opened up a whole new world photography wise for me.

Those are quite beautiful, I loved clouds as a child! These days I prefer when it's sunny and there are no clouds in sight, though of course nothing beats the impressive feeling created by sun shining through the ornaments of white clouds... they tell a story. What I really hate is when the sky gets gray, which is what it mostly looks like in the Czech Republic throughout the whole winter.

Bitter Chocolate, Michigan has many gray sky days during the winter too. I am so thrilled when the clouds brighten up and give us a good showing. :D

Thank you, dear. :D

Robb, you are going mountain hiking again!!! WOOT!!!

Something so peaceful and graceful about a tree outline against a beautiful cloudy sky! Really liked this photo! Stay warm my friend!

Shellmo, thanks, hon. And I appreciate the stay warm advice. How can the thermometer read 42 degrees and feel like 27 with the windchill!

JJ I love the photo....mt.man and I enjoy laying in the front yard watching the clouds at night...one day we saw dark clouds south over gaylord, blue sky over us, and more dark skies to the north, it was crazy and beautiful at the same time. Have fun on your beach trip tomorrow! :)

Lovely photo from the golden hues at the bottom to the pink glow at the top. When my son was younger, we used to play a game while driving of find the shapes in the clouds. I'm sure games like that help develop their imaginations.

Hi! Don't you love a rolling cloudy sky? A: Not on your Nellie! We've just gone through a terrible storm and lost our last huge pine tree. On top of that our trees on the fence line just had to pop in to say hello to our neighbours. Then there's living without house lights for a week because we couldn't get an electrician! and me with a son who's one. I can forgive him though as he lives in another state. Sorry about the gripe, but you did ask!

Take Care,
Peter

Oops! I forgot to mention one thing! This time it's good news! I get to buy a new chainsaw, with my wife's permission of course!

I am also a cloud watcher. That is a great photo on your post. The underneath of the clouds looks almost purple.

Happy trails.

Great shot. I've always been a cloud watcher, too. I even spent hours flying kites to enjoy both at once. I really should do that again one of these days.

Suzanne, Jeff and I still play that cloud game. Once I saw an old sea captain when we were trolling on Lake Superior. :D

Thank you, dear.

Peter, been through that! YAY that you made lemonade out of lemons. :D I'm sorry you lost your last big pine.

Swubird, thank you. I looove where I live because of the changing skies.

Lana, thanks, hon. :D Kite flying sounds like heaven after the long winter.

WOOT!!! to my fellow cloud watchers!!!
