Soft Landing

As autumn progressed last year, I discovered this fallen sea gull feather among the blanket of leaves, and more finds like this are waiting for discovery after the spring thaw. I love shots like this. It satisfies my creativity since I am not a drawer or a painter. I can see this feather staying behind in a strong gust of wind as a sea gull takes flight and soars above the waters. A soft touch added to a challenging day.

Photos like this remind me of the gentle side of nature. Yesterday I was watching red polls and chickadees fluttering about on a frosty spring morning and praising God how amazing it was that the tiny fowl weathered one more harsh winter. Most of the sea gulls migrate.

How blessed we are to have such beautiful scenes before our eyes. I hope you have time for nature walks, meditating, and for a times of discovery. :D

Hugs, JJ

Happy trails.

This reminds me of the fresh new leaves that have sprung on the mango tree...against the background of dark green leaves, these tender colourful red ones are just immense to watch...

this picture is full of love for creativity, JJ!

You send off Peace with your posts & your pictures. Where we live there are many beautiful places to walk. Many beautiful things that Nature gives to us. My husband loves to feed the seagulls! If you can believe that, he thinks they need their daily dose of crackers. They know him when he is on the dock. We have many eagles here also. They are so majestic! Each and every one. Thank you for sharing your Nature Shows with us.

Nature Lovin', I know what you mean about autumn. :D Thank you. :D

Shellmo, thank you. All of my nature walks give me that great sense of peace. I connect with God big-time outdoors. :D

Bluestone, how beautiful!!! Thank you. I can see your husband surrounded by wheeling seagulls, the flash of feather white in the sun, the other seagulls screeching and chasing the one who conquered the offered cracker, even though more are offered. We have many delightful seagulls here and some eagles too. Both fowl are heaven to watch.

Anna, thanks. This last year has been an amazing one of discovery. :D We are truly blessed when we have cameras. :D

Hi! In today's climate of troubled waters here and abroad, I wish everyone, especially my family and yours, soft landings when they encounter things that are all too hard.

Take Care,
Peter
