Pear Blossoms in Spring

My fruit orchard has been giving me dazzling displays of blossoms this past week. Here you see pear blossoms. I love how the petals kiss the sky and call me to walk around the fruit tree to inhale the fragrance of their creation. I'm still shell shocked from last winter and would rather this moment stood suspended in time while I drink in the beauty.

Our fruit trees did take a hit with the severe below zero weather and some branches have given up the ghost. I'm happy to say the peach tree is still with us, but the sour cherry tree looks wounded. Maybe she'll kick into gear and sprout new growth. But our apple trees look fine and tiny pink buds are ready to burst open. :D

On the home front, those who pre-ordered my consolation gift book (where I provided the nature photos for two authors) have called to say they received it and are excited for me. :D Thank you, dear friends and family!!! The official release is June 1st, which is just halfway around the corner.

I have signed book contract number two and it's official. Am finishing up that inspirational project now. This whole publishing experience has been AWESOME and I praise the Lord for bringing it my way. I will keep you updated on my professional blog.

A link for my current book release is on my other blog. Please Click Here if you would like to read about it. I'm soooooo excited and blessed and happy to have this opportunity to soothe others through my work.

Have a super week and may blessings come your way!

Hugs, JJ

Hey JJ

Congrats on the new book contract. Soon maybe soon I'll start submitting my work, but right now I am too busy getting the spring work done outside.
As for the blossoms, from what I can see you are about two weeks ahead than here. The blossoms on the plum and pear trees are just beginning to open and the cherry tree is doing great guns. Tons of buds just getting ready to awaken.
Do hope you have a great week. Take care.

Thank you, JD. :D I hope you do start submitting soon!!!

Your orchard sounds heavenly. Our apple blossoms are about to burst and I love those best of all. Deep shades of pink mingle with the white on the buds and petals. We are blessed to have orchards. :D

Congatualtions. The book looks super.

Funny you should mention Pear Blossoms. I grew up near a place called Pear Blossom in California. In fact, I attended many Pear Blossom festivals when I was a kid.

Your other blog looks great. And I read the write up on your book with your picture at the bottom of the page.

Happy trails.

You just can't beat the sight of blossom petals flaring in the spring. I can never get over how they look so fragile and delicate and yet seem to smile amid thr frosts and cold spring winds.
Wonderful words too :)

Beautiful blossoms JJ, you are so lucky to be able to grow pears. Congratulations on your book deals, super, I would like to purchase them when they become available.

Daniel, thank you. :D Life has picked up speed. :D I must visit your blog too. It has been too long. Must see what you're up to.

Swu, I bet you had great times at the Pear Blossom festivals. What a beautiful area that must be!!!

My grandmother had a pear tree in her backyard and she lived next door when I was growing up. I have a pear tree now because it reminds me of her and how she used to fuss over it.

She was called Funny Grandma by my kids because she always had us splitting our seams with laughter when she joked around. :D She was also called Grandma with the Purple Hair. :D What a character and beautiful family member to have.

Thanks for checking out my other blog and the book release. It happens on MONDAY!!! The time has flown by. Here I go. :D

Spilt Ink, I also marvel at the tenacity of the pear tree. It sure does take some frosty nights. I love your view of nature. :D

Thank you, dear. :D

Bob, thank you. I am blessed for the books and blessed for having met super friends like you in the Blogosphere. Let me know what you think of TGWYHC if you buy it. :D

The moon has been awesome the last few nights. I must drop by to see if you have a moon post.

Have a great evening, dear friends!!!

Anna, thank you. :D I'm soooo excited and grateful and happy. :D

I'm sorry your parents lost their sour cherry tree too. Maybe some blight is at work? It has been waaaay more windier this year too and that certainly could have affected our trees.

Fruitu, how good to see you. It's been a while. :D I enjoy your blog too. Thank you.

Daniel, turtles are soooo awesome!!! Loved the photo.

Kathi, thanks, hon. How lucky I am to meet beautiful people like you through blogging. :D Can't imagine my life without it now.
