The Cheboygan River

Northern Michigan has begun to warm up and with that yachts are appearing in the Cheboygan River, tethered to their posts and ready for family fun again. In this photo you also see a research vessel, two tugs and gas tanker. How lovely to see deep blue water that isn't a layer of ice and to feel a soft breeze caressing our faces as we stood at the drawbridge and enjoyed the view on a beautiful day. :D

How lovely to think about the coming summer. Can't wait for all the adventures Jeff and I will have. Love touring with him and enjoying the outdoors. :D

I have news. Just signed book contract number two. Will post about it on my professional blog soon. :D

Have a super evening, dear friends.

Hugs, JJ

As always, a great photo.

Wow!!! A book contract--number two? You are really something. Now what's this book about? Personal? Fiction? Nonfiction? Photos? I want to know everything.

Happy trails.

Kia ora JJ,
Love the blue water and the news is fantastic! Enjoy the warm breezes, I remember them well. Bearing up for our first wintry cold weekend here - been busy chopping wood.

Beautiful shot JJ!! especially the lack of ice and it's blueness, we just had snow again today, really sucks, lol.

Robb, I wish you didn't have to go through the cold months but I know you enjoy all seasons.

Jeff said it was weird feeling the hot sun on his neck when he hauled the last load of wood in. Hopefully we won't have to burn wood too much longer at night.

Nature Lovin', that must have been one AWESOME canoe trip!!! You and Shell and I should meet at a campground in the UP one day with our hubbies. We would have such a blast!!! Hubbies can do the hard camping work. :D

Bunka, yes, people do swim in the Cheboygan River, but not where the heavy boat traffic is. There is a beach at the river mouth that stays busy in the summer.

Wild wave, dear friends. :D

Bob, not the S word!!! I'm happy you enjoyed the thawed river photo. :D I could have stayed on that drawbridge and gazed at the beautiful deep blues all day long.

Thank you!
